Well right now i have 2 dx 12's in a sealed box (.88 cu ft). and i got plans off here for a iso push pull bandpass box, but i was wondering if this would be louder than what i have now?? i thought i read some where that push\pull type enclosures dont make it louder, so i was wondering how this design compares to the sealed box?? Grrr.... i have been debating over this for awhile, and i still dont know what to do! a girl at work has ONE! JL 10W3 with 250 watts going to it in there "DB monster" box, and it beats my subs with 250 watts of power!!! i almost cried... also how would a bandpass box compare as well?? thanks for your help!!

Plus the cone displacement is kept within the drivers specifications and there is less of a chance of damaging the woofers' suspension. Most bandpass enclosure do not incorporate "gain" into their design. They may strive for a flat frequency response instead. You can detect this when you see a design where the volume of chamber 2 (which is the chamber that receives the ports), is only half the size or even much smaller than chamber 1. Thank God for box programs!!

Happy Bandpass Box Building!! ( hint, hint..)

I can vouch that the ISO push-pull is LOUD. It is a nice box, and polk should manufacture them with plexi windows hint hint. This box in my car with 400 watts rms@2ohms moved air, and caused passenhgers to shout turnit down a lot:cool:
