Cables. Apperantly nice ones, for decent prices, with seemingly low BS/snake oil. I'm going to check some ICs out, and I'll see if I can get a pair of ICs for the cable swap program.
Check out the site. I like his philosophy, and his guide to great sound is good reading.
Anyone tried em before?

Interesting read. Took him a long time to realize the value of tube gear, though. He should have joined the Polk forum.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

It looks like decent cable but I have some doubt to the cable construction being performed as described. There is an odd comment in regards to the copper and the silver, but I'll leave that to your own interpretation.
There are not alot of manufacturers of actual cable in the US....out sourcing is the most cost effective way to produce something like this, and it sounds like stock cable with new hands....and if that's the case, he's charging too much.
I do like the fact that they actually take the time to talk about the product in depth, offer suggestions, and have a money back program.....in that respect, cool.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Yeah, most the small cable companies just take some belden wire and add connectors & sheaths... What I like about signal cable is they don't charge 10 times what they pay for the cable- and what they do charge is worth it to me, 'cause I for damn sure can't solder as well as they do. I'm guessing that these are no different from Blue Jeans or Signal.... but cost a lot more.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

$240 or $310 for a pair of 3M speaker wires, no thanks.
Kudos for 45-day full refund.
Not a big fan of the verbage, "liquid midrange", "emotional sound".
Too snake oily for me, "That's right, fat cables give you less bass because the skin effect has smeared the signal so much that now the signal is out of phase with itself."

I had some fat cables a few weeks ago (Audioquest Mammoth) and hooked up some much less expensive (and much thinner) Audioquest Type 4 speaker cables just for the hell of it. Needless to say that I sold the Mammoths. The Type 4's provided a greater level of detail, made the instruments sound more real, and was just as clean as the Mammoths. Bass was unchanged. It appeared to me that the Mammoths weren't conveying the full signal. I don't know if my experience had anything to do with the fat cables' "skin effect" or whatever, but in this particular instance, thin wins.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

edit: I asked the wrong question, let's try again.
What are the differences in gauges between the two?
Thanks,

I'm a fan of the type IV's for the same reason. Solid wire for me!

The copper wire is:
- 23 awg
- copper wire is OFC, not OCC
- slow annealed for a long cyrstal structure
- uses diamond dies to preserve the purity of the surface of the wire
- is teflon insulated
The cables are hand woven using individual strands of the wire.
I was thinking of trying these with Eichmann copper Bayonets. I was originally planning on upgrading to Harmonic Technology Pro-11 speaker cables in the future.
Any additional comments? -

Decided to purchase HT Pro-11 cables. Should be arriving on Tues or Wed of this week. -
The only thing I know about Harmonic Tech is that F1Nut wasn't real happy with their analog IC's.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I tried their cables about three years ago when we had local retailers. They worked well with my system at that time.
One setup I particularily liked was comprised of: Simaudio CD, pre and amp to Dynaudio Contour speakers. Very nice. Recently purchased that same amp, now the speaker cables, next is the ...
