Replacement Tweeters

I need to replace tweeters in a pair of RTA 11t speakers due to toddler inflicted damage. Has anyone attempted to replace the stock SL2000 tweeters with anything other than the current replacement available from Polk? (For example, I've seen ADS tweeters available that look remarkably like the SL2000's and appear to have very similar dimensions.)

I like sticking with what Polk recomends, either using the same SL2000 or the current replacement.

    Good luck
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

The only time I've replaced a Polk tweeter with anything else was when Peerless was still selling their "SL1000" tweeter.

I'd have to recommend that you go with the Polk replacement tweeter. I would also recommend that you replace both tweeters at the same time, otherwise there will be a noticible difference between the two channels.
    Ludicrous gibs!
