Think I need some new speakers...
I've been a Polk fan/owner for the last 15 years, but I just found this site. Lots of good info. I hope someone can give me some advice on a little problem I just encountered.
Just moved to a new place and one of my RT16's didn't fare so well. (I'll be calling monday to try and troubleshoot, but I think I'll need a new pair...about time to upgrade anyway).
The new speaker's would be part of my HT set-up, used about 70% HT and about 30% music-- HT is a mix of everything, and my music tastes are eclectic, but at least 50% classic rock. The room is 25'x16' with 10' celings. The rest of the gear is:
Receiver: Sony V444ES
Center: Polk CS 350LS
Sat: fx 500
SW: Velodyne CT150
Price range: around $1500 give or take
I'd rather not have to upgrade the center or rear speaker's. Any thoughts on a pair of speakers that would be able to fill such a large room, and be a decent match for the center?
Thanks for any help

You'll have to spend quite a bit of cash to better the RT16...
LSi15 might could though...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
That was the answer I was afraid of...
