This is my first run in with truck bed liner spray... very easy stuff to use...just stinks, so I am leaving them outside until the smell goes away...

Anyways, the shelves turned out great considering all I used was 1/4" plywood throughout this entire thing...

Sid, does it come in a spray can or what? Where did you buy it? Looks really good by the way. Is it hard to get an even coat on?

It came in a spray can, yep....

Cost 8 bucks at Advance Auto Parts...

And, when you first spray it after shaking it up for 2 minutes, spray on something other than ur project because a 'glob' shoots out, I found that out the hard way...

But after that, it is pretty easy to get an even coat...just as long as you spray evently on the surface and dont 'bunch' it up...

The hardest part I thought was doing the edges... but it turned out real well...

Thanks...I like em to, I cant wait to hang them up...I'll show yall the final product...its gonna look cool...

Trey, if you want the bedliner to come out looking stellar put a few coats of CHEAP black spray paint on them first, then use the bedliner spray at 18-24" distance with 3-4 very light coats. It will look unreal when you're finished, and not have as many "thick" spots as the ones in the pictures do.

Thanks for the advice, I did indeed put a base coat of spray paint first, but I wasnt that far away...

    Will try that next time...

    Thanks!

Thats a pretty good idea. I never wouldve thought of using bed liner. One things for sure, theyre indestructible now.

Dont really mind the thick spots either. Makes it look more "industrial".

    Nice work, Trey!

When are you going to build some Hedlund horns (you can use MDF versus laminated ply)? ;)

veneered plywood rocks, but is much more difficult to work with than MDF, MDF is just flat out easy...

As for me building anymore speakers for me...not likely...

I am finishing up the main rig, CDP and power cables....I'm throwing up the flag...

With my new addition of cables, I am absolutely FLOORED by my system....best system I have EVER heard in my room - PERIOD.

Thanks, I like the shelves, I just hope they dont fall...lol

How tall are those? They look to be about 7 or 8 ft. in height. I was not able to get any of the zip files on that sight or another that I found to open, just gives a no file pop up.

You and EarlyB were looking for a way to make money in audio. Yep, these enclosures take some layout - but it's very well documented. Radial arm saw, table saw (maybe, but the RAS can probably handle it all), sabre saw or plunge router, dividers, pencil, and glue. Pretty modest investment. I've only found one place that makes them commercially for resale, and it's not in the US. You would crap your drawers if you saw the prices they get.

The guy, and his Dad, who started the Horn Shoppe (down your way) don't do too bad from what I understand.

Just something to think about. You have talent and, more importantly, passion for this stuff.

BTW - I believe they are closer to 6' in height than 7-8.

Maybe as I progress further...one step at a time....

If you're using Windows ME (just a guess here) you have to enable compressed folders in file manager (going from memory here... excuse me if that's BS.) Can you normally, download/save/open .zip files?

Xp here....I have not unzipped any files on this system before, I'll try the file manager route and see if that helps anything.
