I don't think you can get more "Jersey Girl" than Pennsauken women. 3 of them scared the **** outta me, dropped them off and the 4th one (actually not bad looking) and I ended up drinking 'til 4am in some **** hole bar. Back then I could out drink just about anybody, not her. Damn, what a night!Political Correctness'.........defined

Bruce is a real no talent there Demi. And you, are a damn fool.
Great picture of Zappa. Hang me, I want to do more than tap my feet to the music. I want my music to make me think a little. I want my music to do more than make me want to go out and sing with my friends and drink beer while we're doing it.
You really are quite sentimental and sensitive aren't you? Lightweight, sensitive, sentimental, and trying hard to sound like a deep intellect.

Well at least I can rest easy knowing you're wrong about the talent aspect of it. Can't quibble with your opinons.
It's cool you don't have an affinity for the music, I don't either. Bruce has always been rather formulaic and it's been re-hashed ever since 'Born In The U.S.A.' ...certainly is a money grab at this point.
I've been playing guitar for many years and have taken a boatload of theoretics courses as a hobby. Adds a different aspect to music when you can breakdown an entire album into their root formulas.
As I recall in your initial post you called 'Born To Run' a masterpiece. Did the same no-talent assclown pull that one out of the nether regions....or is this just a case of the broken clock being right twice a day?
You're all wet on this one, but I do respect challenging shallow music. I'm more with you on that than you'll ever know. Just don't know why that makes me a so-called fool for denying an obvious and factual musical talent.
Can't wait to get to one of these Polk Gatherings. -

You're a fool for letting him bait you in to a somewhat serious response.
The Polk gatherings are fun. Everyone gets drunk, talks fun trash to each other, and pretends they can hear a difference between a bunch of the same copper wire.
I think Russman once was caught trying to molest a speaker even. Good times I tell ya, good times. -
Talent based on the theoretics of music. Hmmmm....that's a new one.Political Correctness'.........defined

I'm no big fan of Bruce myself but I always did like the Tunnel of Love song......
Fat man sitting on a little stool
Takes the money from my hand while his eyes take a walk all over you
Hands me the ticket smiles and whispers good luck
Cuddle up angel cuddle up my little dove
We'll ride down baby into this tunnel of love -

A CS group at CU programmed a computer with all the theories and had it compose "music". By that definition, the computer was brilliantly talented, however, the "music" blew goat nuts. Sorry Demi, you had a point until you brought this up.
Bruce must be talented somehow, he did make tons of money and is adored by thousands. Mass hypnosis? There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin -

I NEVER said Talent = Success.
Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, et al.
These are artists who are guitar virtuosos and have only gained a modicum of success considering how talented they are, ostensively speaking. The theoretical aspects of a lot of their stuff is top notch and blows the majority of the music populace out of the water...does not make it listenable or enjoyable. You may even want to throw Joe Petrucci into that mix. For as talented as he is...his work hasn't been as heralded as it should be.
F1, I believe you don't like Bruce for another reason, which is also a small reason I don't like him (his ideas) as well. I could be making a gigantic assumption there, but I doubt it.
There is a congruence of theoretics & a myriad of other things (vocal talent, showmanship, lyrical content, etc.) that equal talent at varying levels depending on the mix of the two. I love a lot of stuff that doesn't contain much of the former at all. There's nothing wrong with that, but Bruce Springsteen, quite frankly, is not someone who falls into that category. He and his band are talented musicians and that's a fact.
