1 or 2 subwoofers
I have an old system. A PSW550 that is 8" and 100 watts. I was wondering if I could buy lets say the PSW404 that has 200 watts and make 300 watts. Can I hook up two together? If not then what is the better sub, the 404 or the 505. I want to keep my whole system polk and this is my last piece. Thanks and if I can hook up two, how....

You can split the sub signal from your receiver with a male/female y-adapter providing your receiver has a sub-out connection. Or you can run a connect from the rieceiver and split the signal at the sub with a different y-connector. If the subs have a LFE input use that or you may be double filtering.
I stack my subs and like the job they do, others put one sub up front and one in back. If you want to stay all polk then dual subs may very well be your answer, but depends on each system and room environment.
You may want to post over the sub forum as the real sub-guru's hang there a bit more.
