Why does my Mits RP TV keep resetting the contrast?

I have set and reset the F*#!ing contrast to midway a half dozen times in the setup.
A couple months will go by, and I start to see the ghosting of white titles on a black background,
so I check the contrast...and sure as hell the damn tv has reset itself to maximum contrast again.
It's a Mitsubishi diamond series 55"
Anyone else have this situation?

No, could you pissibly loosing power temporarily and the tv resetting itself to it's default state?

Yes, I definitely get momentary power outages.
I don't understand why full contrast would be the default setting,
as it looks like crap, and can't be good for the TV.

Don't click on the "picture modes", they will reset your settings.
