SACD vs. Distance Setting In AVR or Player

Can anyone answer this question for me? I have the Onkyo TX-DS797 AVR and the Pioneer DV-563A dvd/sacd player.
When listening to a SACD through the analog outputs, does the receiver speaker distance setting have any bearing, or does it strictly use the distance settings I've defined in the player?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The settings in the player will superceed the settings in the receiver. The player is sending a decoded analog signal to the receiver. The receiver cannot apply DSP Modes or any other processing to the analog signal from a SACD/DVD-a.

Thanks for the reply Frank Z. That's definitely good to know. So I guess the only output modification the AVR does is speaker output level because I am able to calibrate that on the AVR while using multi-channel input.
Thanks. -
