...it's surround sound/Pro-Logic but it has a switchable mode to stereo with a remote. Pretty much just what I was looking for. Got it off of the eBay for about $157 shipped to my door. The seller says he didn't test it fully but what he did test on the line level inputs worked great. So I'm taking a bit of a gamble. I looked around and similar items in worse condition are going for around $150 + shipping so I don't think I got ripped off.
So what I wanna know is, does anybody have any experience with this Pre/pro? It's a Rotel and I have yet to hear a piece of Rotel gear that disappointed me so I am thinking it was a safe buy. I don't really care if it is pro-logic or not because it's for my bedroom rig which will be a 2 channel rig with a sub anyway. I have a Samsung DVD/VCR to hook up to it and a NAD amp with a pair of KLH 20's. All I gotta do is find a decent tuner for it, hopefully with a remote also.
So what do ya think? Good grab?

Nice find
I'll bet Russ can hook you up with a tuna...he's always got several listed on his website, you should give that a look... -
Yeah, I looked but nothing with a remote. I'm visiting Casa de no Concerno this weekend. There might something of ample ability there.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

i still use that pre pro as my 2 channel preamp to this day. makes it relativly easy to integrate my sub into the system. the pre pro does a fantastic job in 2 channel format. I think i would have to go with either a significant investment in newer more expensive gear, or go the tube route to get a significant increase in performance. 150.00 seems to be a fair price for the unit in good condition, not very low, but certainly not an unfair price in good condition either,Living Room 2 Channel -

Well honestly, it's sticking around if it's a good piece of equipment. It's gonna be the head for my bedroom system. I have no problem dicgging up a bunch of amps to run in surround sound mode eventually either. I figured it wasn't that bad of a buy especially with it's switchable functionality. It has a remote and stuff too.
I'm surprised though. I thought this thread would have gotten more interest than it has. It's not often that decent gear like Rotel goes for decent prices on eBay.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
