Sorta dumb PSW505 question
So it's a 12" woofer with a freaking huge surround, right?
If you subtract a 1" surround that makes it a 10" woofer as far as surface area goes. Is this non-technically a 10" woofer?
I know, it is what it is spec-wise so it's just a curiosity question, really...

Oh, yeah, Welcom to the Forum.
The surround moves with the cone, and if it moves, it makes sound, so it can be considered part of the driver. -

Thats sort of the way it seemed to me but the surround is sort of rolling around and not really moving air with a nice flat surface area like the driver is, so it made me wonder...No earth robot is going to tell ME which button to press!!
