I purchased a used vehicle which already had a Pioneer CD stereo installed, but my problem seems to be static now and then, no matter what station I have tuned in. The static is almost like being in a thunder storm when its lightning out. When I turn the volume way down as low as it can go, you still hear the static pretty good. It doesnt happen all the time just every so often. I thought maybe when I passed by electrical wires it was interfering, but thats not the case. Any thoughts??

It's noise from your ignition system interfering because whomever put that Pioneer in did a crappy install job.

you can sometimes find a small module that will fix the problem, if it's something little, otherwise, it's a rewire job.
