Wow, thats a first a buyer stating how they will only pay with paypal. If I had some 9's just that would turn me off, I think paypal is a horrible place to leave your money.

Yeah I saw those, seemed a little steep being scratchy and no box.
ASD have some new ones on the bay for less than that. Would like to find some used at a used price.

Be weary of ASD, I have a speaker (which will remain unnamed!) I got from them which is mysteriously missing a serial number and had no registration card, even though they call it "new"... fell off the back of a truck I guess. Condition was otherwise new, and it works perfectly, though.

Got my 9's for $570 shipped off ebay, mint condition. They were used about 8 months, but that's fine with me - I don't feel like breaking in more speakers - they sounded great out of the box.

I think I’ve had a pair of speakers pass through here like that.
I e-mailed ASD a few days ago requesting more info on some 9’s they had posted, and even though their posting stated: “We promise the best customer service on the web’’ they have failed to respond to some very basic questions.

Maybe they've been in the back gargling their bong water....Who knows.

not sure what your willing to spend, but if you contact oldmanrivers on ebay and ask if he has any 9s he would sell you outside of an auction, he usually lets them go for around 575 shpped. they are nib. i grabbed a pair from him in that fashion. he only has cherry last time i checked.

I know that you probably know this, but if the dealer is not Polk authorized, there will not be a warranty. There is also not a warranty on second hand polk products originally bought from authorized dealers. Only the original buyer has a warranty. I think unauthorized sellers must remove the serial numbers so that they can't be traced to them somehow.

I've been looking around and haven't seen the 9s, 7s, or Cs on sale. Do they ever go on sale at Fry's or other Polk Audio authorized dealers?

I can get deals on the electronics but haven't seen much re the LSis other than on Ebay or Aud.

On Polk’s upper end stuff I don’t think it ever goes “on sale”.
Crutchfield and some other authorized dealers will through in some extras if you spend over a certain amount on Polk speakers now and then.
Grey market or used if you want to save some $. I prefer used, all my gear was used when purchased.

Still looking for those used 9’s!
