DVD/DVR Video Upconversion

Anyone know of DVD/DVR HD units capable of video upconversion to HD format (720/1080i) and still use multiple accepted formats for dvd recordings
?
Only thing I've been able to find is Toshiba RD-XS52, and that seems to support just about all available formats:
- DVD-Video,CD/CD-R/CD-RW, VCD/DVD-R/RW, DVD-RAM
Disc Record DVD-RAM, DVD-R
...and can be had online for about $450.
