Anyone try out the Polk XM receiver yet? My understanding is it's
sound is much better than the Delphi units. The output of the Skyfi's are better than Fm, but NOT up to cd standards!

The Polk XM is definitely better than the Delphi. I have experience with both (I own the Delphi XM2Go).

    I agree with PolkThug.

I've owned the Delphi and Sony...the Polk XRt beats them to death in both sound quality AND features. If you're am XM fan like me, buy it. Keep in mind the Polk tuner is limited only by the XM signal; crap in, crap out as they say.

I think the biggest thing you'll notice is the "2-D" flatness that plaque the Delphi/Sony is gone. The XRt has 3 dimensional sound with a much deeper soundstage. There are other sonic improvements, but this one struck me almost immediately.

I just read a review where the Polk XM tuner was used to work in the new Conrad Johnson pre, a 13 grand unit. The writer blessed the ability of the Polk to work with this pre.
