I want to get new front speakers for the doors of my ranger truck. Unfortunately the factory speaker size is 5x7's and I dont think anyone makes a 5x7 component package like standard circle component speakers. I dont want those 5x7's where you can take the tweeter out of the middle and move it seperate. I want true components where the woofer is just 1 cone (the entire 5x7) and a 3/4 inch or 1 inch seperate tweeter with crossovers....anyone have reccomendations?

    Make a 5x7 template for 5.25" components.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Im currently running 6.75" components in 6x9 holes. All it took was a homemade adapter plate out of 1/4" plywood.

    Nuttin' to it! ;)

I would agree with that - 5.25" comps with a plate - there's not much room behind there so it'd have to be something out of 1/8th inch sturdy plastic or something, but it's doable definately.
