Finally back home after a whirlwind trip around the southeastern US...

We trekked from Charleston SC to Blytheville AR to Memphis to Bremen, GA back home. Saw some great friends, drank a LOT of beer so on and so forth. Always good to see the Abernathy clan, such a wonderful family.

Anyhow, netted a few goodies in the past few days:

SDA CRS's
Carver m4.0t
Denon DCD-2560 cd player
Parasound D/AC 1600 HD digital/analog converter
Sony TC K909ES cassette deck
approx. 100 MINT (and I mean MINT) LP's, all classsical, most Mercury or Columbia Masterwork pressings.

Man, I was I wasn't so exhausted so I could start playing with this stuff...

If that cass deck has DBX, Doro has a friend looking for one.

Sell it all, short of the records and DAC. That DAC will be nice in your HT rig on the Tosh. I'll see if I have any more high tone Dig cables for you.

I talked to Russ last night, he said you didn't get drunk, left him hanging. He called me at midnight, said everyone was asleep (and sober) except him. What's up with that?

You were sober enough for church when you were here, didn't get to see you puke at the Polkfest, and two disturbingly sober visits to Abernathy's. What's wrong with you man? You going soft on us?

    Cheers,
    Russ

Edit, you were in Arkansas, and didn't tell me? That's like 3-4 hours from here. What am I, chopped liver?

Hmmmmm...not sure what I'm going to do with all the gear, actually.

Man, I was BEAT down last night and actually did crash with a pretty decent buzz. Don't know what the deal is, but here lately, unless I start guzzling beer on an empty stomach or go straight for hard liquor I can't seem to turn the corner.

I thought you were like 8 hrs from Memphis?? Trust me, you didn't miss a THING in AR.

    You moron.

I never mentioned ME going to AR. I was thinking about your chubby **** getting south-bound and down, and sharing a night of music, booze, and naked frolicing with me.

I know Russ A bought some Rum, I TOLD him what to buy for you. No excuse for your behavior.

Not pressuring you, I've just been looking at some lately. would probably be a perfect fit for my current room.

I bought him two 4 packs of that English swill he fancies when he and Wendi came to visit here for a couple days. Want to know how long I stored at least a 4 pack in the refrigerator AFTER he left? WENDI drank more than he did (which WAS part of the master plan, which also included him falling asleep, which he didn't, which put me back to square uno).

Those are nice little trinkets you picked up on your road trip. Ask me about the AR-9LS' I'm sniffing around RIGHT NOW that are also a local pick-up. I'm GOING to steal these from this guy, and the only thing that's going to sweeten the deal any further, is if his wife/girlfriend is a looker.

The LS was marketed as an improved version of the AR-9, but instead of two side firing 12"ers, they sport a forward firing 12" and a downward firing 10", making them a little easier to place in a room. All other components are the same as the 9.

Troy - Nice trip, when are bound for a northern route? Did Hoosier tell you about the Carver CT28v?

George - I'm bringing some decent money with me when I come up next weekend... :)
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Those are the ones that 'steveinaz' has a full-on boner for.

Two four packs of Boddingtons? If I had been visting, that would have been gone before we sat down to supper. Matter of fact, we might not have even had supper. We might just have ripped the empties open, and taken turns bouncing those little plastic widgets off each others foreheads.

Doro, I may be using one day next weekend to purloin the guys speakers, IF he bites on my offer. If not, maybe his wife will..........

If he doesn't want to meet my offer, I'll turn you onto him. He's not far from you either. His ad says a triangle with points at Filthy, York PA, and Wilmington DE. I offered him eight dollars. All woofs need a re-foam.

    Russ,

You DO know that our first face to face may start in a home, but will end up in a holding cell till court comes into session. Add Thatch and it's a given.

Yes, I am aware of that, and feel both scared, yet feverishly excited at the same time.

My biggest concern is that I want to make sure I'm wearing more than my underwear and socks when I get maced, tazered, and hog tied by the local's finest.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Blytheville, AR is about as pleasant as the name sounds...

You should have trekked on over here to the west/northwest side. I've always got a spare room. BYOB.

Reason for the trip to Blytheville is a guy who was stationed with me, and the best man at my wedding, got popped for recruiter duty. He's HATING life there.....

Man, I appreciate the concern for my sobriety, maybe they have meetings for that sort of thing.

Far as the gear goes, not sure what goes and what stays. The Carver and the CRS's are not going anywhere, that's for sure.

    LOL!

Man, you just bring whatever you want.. We'll deal with it. The goat stays outside though. I don't care how cool she is.

I should warn you though: I live in a rough neighborhood. (See attached photo).

Hey.. We've got a Damascus, AR, too. It's where that TitanII silo blew up back in the early 80's and tossed that nuke 600 ft.
