New in-wall sub products
Found some pics nosing around the images section of the Polk site. Pics of in-wall subs and an amp for custom audio applications are here.

Here's a press release to go with the pics now.

Very interesting. It looks like Polk is serious about breaking into the custom installation market. First the IP addressable LC-265-IP in-walls at $6,000 a pair and now these more reasonably priced in-wall/ceiling subwoofers.
It would be nice to see some specifications. I guess we'll have to wait until Polk posts these new subs on their web site.
Thanks for the information.

Since you mentioned the IP-addressable LCi's, I saw an article talking about them. Polk and NetStreams have developed a way to seamlessly integrate the Polk XM tuner with the touchpanels using the RS232 port, so the user can change stations and view song info in whatever room they are in. Then the touchpanel routs the music to the IP-addressable LCi's. Pretty cool!

As of this writing, there is also a link to win a Polk RM6700 package as well. -
In-wal subs are kinda a funny thing, ya' know, it could be IB, but then again there are problems with the back wave, but IB is so much deeper, oh gosh, it goes on and on...
But after looking at those picture, all I can say is, "cool," those things look sweet.
