Today I went crazy. I went in to buy small bookshelf speakers and walked out with the RTi10 and the CSi3 for the center. Now I have a 200 credit with frys and need to buy my rears. They are pushing me to get the RTi4 but I am thinking that the FXi3 would be a better match. Please let me know. Love these speakers and already got a real nasty look from my neighbor after watching swordfish. My oh my what a system. I am running it with my new Yamaha 1400 and I am in la la land. Please let me know.

return the CSi3 and use that $200 towards the CSi5. You can always save up the bucks later and get the FXi5's when you can.

I looked at that center but $200 more then the 3. Is it that big of a difference. Man, I cannot imagine the sound getting any better then what it is now. It can based on your suggestion. Now last question. How do people put their equipment at the bottom of each thread. I notice some people show the type of speakers, receiver etc.

I went to Frys and did research again. Yes the csi5 is better then the 3 and I will make the change. I will save for the rear at another time. Great suggestion.

awesome man... you'll definitely be happy with the upgrade. It's better to build a system than to waste money on "Get Me By" equipment. :D

    Aint that the truth..

Only if I knew that 3 years ago....

I could have four times the system I have now...

CSi5 is a much better center, and make sure you get the FXi5 or RTi6 for surrounds to finish it off, and maybe a SVS sub if your feeling risky...
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I am so happy that I am doing this correct. Rather then I want my set now, I will build it as I can afford it and get the speakers I want. Thanks you all and now when I see this type of question, I can speak with experience. Thank you all.

I see you're already helping others. Good man. :D I'm doing the exact same thing right now. I was deciding between the RTi12's and the LSi9's. I went with the 9's simply because I will be listening to a lot of music and I like to think of myself as an audiophile so music matters more than HT. I'll probably listen to more movies but I'm not as critical about that as music. The reason I went with the 9's is because I know I would've been more than happy with the 12's but it would've been that thing I would've always kicked myself in the **** for not getting. "God I really wish I had the 9's." My mind was made up on the Denon 3805 but then the question was, do I get my rears or get a second amp to do it right? I could've got all 5 LSi's that I wanted but the receiver wouldn't really run them to their capacity so instead of the LSiFX's, I went for the second amp. Now I'll have a 3.1 setup and within a year, I'll be completed. Done and Done. :D [/story]

Hey, thanks man. Listen, when I first read your post about returning the 3 and getting the 5, I thought, what a strange idea but off I went to frys to investigate. They played just the center on the eagles live cd and a movie. The 5 really is so much better then the 3 and that was a great point you made. People like yourself are what makes this forum move.

I just bought the FXi5 on line due to the $150 coupon I get back, which I will use on my new sub. So all in all, things are hearing in the right direction.
