Snagged this off Audio Advisor on the cheap - Redline rack. With all the tube gear, things were heating up in my old rack with enclosed sides.

How do you like it? I was looking at that rack for the new house...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Steve,
Excellent build quality, easy to assemble (I believe there were a grand total of 8 bolts and 5 parts), looks are fantastic IMO. I left the cable management bus off because it wouldn't work with my IC's and PC's anyway. I used the "super saver" free shipping, but it was here in 3 days from order being placed. I haven't seen anything for the price that comes close.

Your photos have me wishing I never sold my 1.2TL's

Looks good Blue.
I was looking at several websites including AA and couldn't find a manufacturer spec on the max weight allowable on each shelf. Does the owner's manual say anything?
I'm looking to get one if I can plant a 55 lb receiver on the second from bottom shelf.
thanks,

Nice rack sweetheartCTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Sorry, there is no real "owner's manual" - just a simple assembly sheet. The amp on the bottom shelf (PS Audio Delta 200) weighs 54 lbs. It's the same thickness tempered glass as the others (1/4") and supported at 4 points on rubber pads. No problems. The intermediate shelving supports at four points on metal pins. The top shelf is thicker (3/8"), I suppose for looks, and supports on rubber pads.
On AA you could do the "Ask Us a Question" link about weight max. -
I like the rack and thanks for sharing. I have some serious cave mods that have to happen in this year.
The room and space looks like I could spend alot of time there.
BUT
I have a question though;)
Looks like there are 2 .005guage:p inductive loops wrapped around the flower pot in the picture. Is there some pruning in order

Thanks Blue for the very detailed response. I'll try that "ask a question" link out.
Your setup looks like it should be in the pages of one of those AA catalogs. Sweet.
I'm glad you've found this forum. You've been a great addition, very helpful to others, and very knowledgable. Always a pleasure to read your posts. -

Hi Bill!
You noticed, I'm sure, what's "top shelf" and "right in the heart" of my setup. There have been several pieces of gear cycled through my two channel rig. The EE gear may as well be poured into the glass of the shelves - they're going nowhere!
Yep, the SRS's are pretty special to me as well. The 75 wpc Manley tube amp drives them nicely - but, the big SS PS Audio amp gives them a bit more headroom.
Hope things are going good for you!

Actually, they're experimental matter transference field coils. We've had moderate success in initial tests. My four year old stands in the center of one and I transfer him to the curb when the school bus comes on rainy days.
We've found that the opening riffs of ZZ Top's "Waitin' For the Bus", played at 122 db (A weighted), generates sufficient field strength to get him to the first step of the bus (124 db put him in a third row seat and fastened his lap restraint, which the bus driver found disconcerting.)
Further field testing has been temporarily suspended. Last Wednesday (which is trash pick-up day), my two year old daughter (who acts as bus lookout) yelled "BUS!" when it was, in fact, the trash truck. Well, you can guess the rest. We're tying to determine if she's color blind or suffering from repressed sibling rivalry. -

Thanks for the kind words, Paul. After reading my response to Henry, you may want to retract your statement. -

NO FRIGGEN WAY.
This is the response that makes you most valued.
BTW
the experimental matter transference field coils does not have have enough capacitance. You really need an introduction to the flux capacitor theories. I understand now that a long run in education is necessary
way trashed is the twin... Doro... calling Doro:cool:***WAREMTAE*** -

I'm betting the latter.

Very nice! Watch the tubes on glass though, it is very hard and light which can transmit vibes to the tubes. I still liked the B3 in front of the window. Looked kinda scary.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
LOL! Yeah, I bet you could just see me in a Bella Lugosi getup wailing gothic vibes on the B3. It's still in the room, just way back.
I had some reservations as well regarding the glass shelves. But, I just finished an absolutely riveting listening session with the Manley amp driving the "new" SRS's hard and Tracey Chapman's debut album spinning. Not a hint of microphonics.
When are you going to get some free time and give me a hard core tube junkies (and SRS owner's) evaluation? You're welcome anytime.

Sweet looking rack. Oh my, I had no idea those SDA's are that big. Our Klipsch are the same size I believe and using mine as a reference:eek:   And those Klipsch towers are not small either.

Love the rack- Though, till I saw the second photo I thought the plants next to it were your speakers. Thought they may have been some new experimental photosynthetic transducer speaker system. I immediately realized one major downside, they only work when placed in direct sunlight.
Imagine how stupid I felt when you disclosed them as experimental matter transference field coils...Yamaha RX-V1500 // Outlaw Audio M200 (x2) Panasonic TH-52PZ700U

Yeah, they're pretty large. I laughed when I saw a photoshoot done at Polk HQ posted in a recent thread. It showed Polk Paul leaning with his elbow and upper arm on what was described as the "flagship SDA SRS." Must be 2.3's, or something, unless Paul is very tall.
Edit - took another look at the photo. They're SRS's so Paul must be a big guy. -
