Hey guys, I have been giving this a try for a couple of weeks and it is a nice receiver, but I think I am slowly coming to the realization that AV receivers are not for me. I've tried all of them in my price range and passed many on to you guys and folks at ebay and I still can't find out that sounds good to me for good ole 2 channel, which is 90% of what I use my main system for.
So, I bought this thing from Cambridge Soundworks (authorized dealer) a couple weeks ago and can still return it to them (but lose shipping)....I got a great deal on it so if anyone wants to pay me what I got in it you can get a great deal too.
Here are the specs: 6.1 receiver, 80w x 6, DD EX, DTS ES, PLII, Black finish, absolutely mint. Will ship in original box/packaging with remote, antennae manual, etc...AND all channel preouts!
Black finish (nice beefy look too).
I'll take pictures if anyone wants them.
$270 shipped in 48 US.

    Hey woody,

Does the Marantz have a high current power supply that would be able to support LSi7's?
How does it compare with Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, HK, etc(since you have had them all)?

    Hey man,

Yes, the Marantz does have high current, very similar to the Denons I have owned (AVR 1802 and AVR 785), stable down to 6 ohm (again like Denon).

Sounds like a good receiver. I think I'd still eventually like to get something that will be either 4 ohm stable(NAD, B&K, Rotel) if I go with a receiver. Hopefully I'll end up with separates next, but that will be a while.
