hello! i'm in the process of buying my front speakers and need help in deciding whether rti 10 or monitor 70 are better speakers to go with my system. these front speaker with be powered by a receiver onkyo ts-ds898 with 110 watts rms. also have csi40 as center, fx 50 as surrounds and svs as sub. i use my system 70% ht and 30% music in a 12 X 30 feet room. which of these front speakers is better suited as front speakers as far as voice matching and sound quality? i also might upgrade my center to csi5 in the near future. any advice and comment is much appreciated. thanks

i dont think you could go wrong with either ones. I think though that the RTi10's have a little better specs. IMO. that's what i would go with. they will closer match your center and since you already got a kick azz SVS. it should sound really great once it's all together.

My sysem is listed below. Suffice it to say, I am in favor of the Rti 10's. They are excellent speakers, and have very comfortable mids-acoustic guitar and vocals sound especially good on the 10's.
I used to think the 10's had excellent bass, and they do if you're not into subwoofers, but once I got my SVS, I found that overall bass sounded better crossed to the sub, so I xo the 10's at 80 Hz, as the little Polk woofers are no match for SVS. Even only to 80 Hz, the 10's sound spectacular, and with my B&K receiver, both music and movies are wonderful.
The Rti line is a little bit bright on the really high frequencies, but if you're going to be upgrading to Rti 5 you're best bet is the 10's. Overall, very good speakers.

the 10's are phenominally better sounding speakers. Way more technology put into them and way better drivers. I won't even go into cabinets and x-overs.
