Thought about picking up one of these, got a $30 gift card from BB. Currently dont own a sacd player and have been playing reg. cds through my cheap Mitsubishi dvd player since my very old Denon cd changer bit the dust.
Current gear:
Denon 3803
Adcom five chan.
LSIs all around
Does anyone own one of these?
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated on this player.
I know its on the cheap side of the spectrum, but I would really like to check out sacd and I like the multi disc setup.

I have a Sony DVP-NS775V single disk player with the same basic specs as the one you posted , and so far have no complaints about the Sony with sound or picture .

From what I've read/heard about the inexpensive Sony SACD machines is that the SACD playback is pretty good with the CD playback not so good, but inline with what you get from any CDP in the same price range.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

Actually, the CD playback quality of the Sony 595 is surprisingly good. I think you will have to go either the Sony C2000ES (the ES version of the 595) or a dedicated CD player in the $250.00 - $300.00 range to better it.

Well Ive done an about face and picked up a used, supposedly mint, Denon DVD 2200
for $260 shipped off AG.
Guess Ill have to get off my lazy butt to change disc.
