New System Help

Hi

I am planning to buy a new sound system that I can use for music and for home theater.

I am thinking of using

Reciver: Sony STRDA3000ES
Front: RTi6
Center: CSi3
Surround: RTi4
Subwoofer: PSW010

Right now I am not looking for best speaker configuration but one that is good
so what do you guys think of this configuration

    Good receiver and speaker selections. The only thing I would add is try another sub. Hsu STF-2 or SVS PB10/12 if you can swing it.

    If you can spend a little more, wouldn't it be worth it to get something that would suit your needs now and in the future?

    I suppose where you are going to use this system would have a lot to do with what would suit then needs of the room. Where are you planning to put this system (room dimensions and adjoining rooms would help)?

    I would at least upgrade the fronts to Rti8's.

    Thanks all for your suggestions. Right now i am not living in a place big enough to keep RTi8 but i am going to move to a bigger place end of this year and at that time i am thinking of getting some floor standing speaker and move RTi6 to rear and move RTi4 to side.

    if you do that, you'll want to upgrade your center to match. Plus, you'd keep the 4's as surround backs (rears) and put the 6's as surrounds (sides). I'm with everyone else, I'd upgrade the sub to something a little better.

    Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.
