Looks good. Clean, simple, no clutter / fluff - just business. I like it.

    Cheers,

LOL . Kind of. I have two Parrots. A Blue Indian Ringneck and a Brown Throated Conure. My wife and I call them our chickens! They are a trip and the Ring Neck talks up a storm. We love our birds. We have to keep them in the Breakfast Nook so they don't get lonely. It is kind of an eye soar, but it is worth it since they are so sweet and a huge part of our family.

Thanks! That is what I like. Just a simple clean look; streamline if you will. I am glad you noticed that. My wife appreciates it too lol.

I like the speaker wire jacks. Nice! Were they a lot of work?

The jacks themself, no, they were not a lot of work at all. The in wall wiring, however, took a long time. The whole system took me 10 hours to wire.

Very nice layout and clean looking. I totally dig the contemporary decor. Very modern looking and nice.

One suggestion that you could try out to see if it makes any audible difference. I tend to be sort of anal about these things so patience with me. Could you build a shelf to rest the center on that would extend the front of the speaker at least in plane with the front of the tv? Also bring up your left and front mains so that the tweeters extend in front of the tv. That may interfere with the walkway to the right to the hallway unfortunately but it would be a good experiment to hear if any audible differences occur with soundstaging and imaging.

I "hear" what your saying, unfortunatley, any gain or perhaps loss in audible difference is not worth, to me, moving the speakers. This is our family room, and keeping the speakers out of the way is more important to me. But your suggestion is appreciated.

It could be worse. I could have been stuck with little cube arrays. I just so happen to get lucky and got away with (from my wife) bookshelf speakers. WAF could come into play if I am not careful.

Do you live in a manufactured home? The layout looks almost exactly like my Dad's house, which is manufactured. Just curious.
The pics are great. Looks like you have a nice system going on there.

I like your coutches. I need new couches.

I miss people puting in the remote control line up money shot.

I really like your setup. Congrats, verry calm cool and collected.

edit: while I dont know a lot about polk car stuff I think that you should be using a polk sub in your pictures for your enclosures. Or do you? To blurry to tell.

No. This is not a manufactured home. It is a Perry Home.

You can see several shots of the house here:

I took these before we decided to buy. My Camera sucks, and it is really hard to take shots of the interior without a wide angle. Things look A LOT different now that all of our stuff is in.

lol. As a matter of fact, we don't even include subs in those enclosures. We used to, but everyone just wanted to buy the box. I just set the site up for my dad. He makes the boxes and sells them.

Funny thing about the couches; we are getting rid of them and buying a huge sectional and sitting chair in July. We have had those couches since 2000 and our color/ style has changed a bit. Plus this family room is just way to big for those little couches.

    Site looks good.

Layout-wise, I think you made the most of a fairly difficult HT room. Looks very tidy to boot...

The master bathroom and kitchen look almost exactly like the ones in my Dad's house, which is a manufactured home, but in California. Who knows, maybe the same company built them.
As I said, just curious. They really are exactly alike. Thanks for the pics, nice home.

Very nice setup there. Looks like a very comfortable place to watch a movie or two.

Is it just me, or are the couches in the thumbnails VERY blue? They sure don't have a hint of blue in full size.

Yes, I know. I need to update the thumbnails, but I just took the new pictures this morning and have not had time yet. It is kind of cool though. Gives you a "before/after" effect.

Stroonzo. Nice setup you got there. Is a bigger display in your future? BTW, those couches look really comfy. :D
