There was a lot of talk about the members meeting somewhere in the NJ or MD area, what happened? Did it just fade away?

As it was said before, this would be a great chance for POLK to open the doors to us, the guys who really dig the stuff.
Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
Outlaw ICBM - crossover
Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Micah pretty much alluded to the fact that Polk wasn't in a position to host such an event at this point, so that was pretty much it.

There was discussion of holding an event at the Rancho de No Concerno ( the Grand residence ) but there are some inherent drawbacks to that, none attributable to George personally. IE, Wendi would probably be more willing to buy off on a trip to a Polk-sponsored event but not to just drive to Jersey for a party...

A Polk-sponsored meeting fell through, but there was plans to have it at George's place. He was supposed to get back to me with a date, but that hasn't happened yet. I don't think he's as interested as before. I'm up for new suggestions for a location. Remember, Micah said he'd buy as beers if we came to Baltimore!

George said he would have had it at his place in Jersey, but it's hands off the wife and daughter.

All of us horndogs on the forum agreed that it wasn't worth the trip because that's the real reason we wanted it held at his place.

Who wants to drive there anyway just to eat some burgers and hotdogs and listen to his Carver Amazings. He'll probably subject us to a demo of Barry Manilow or John Denver.
    No excuses!

For those willing to drive to Baltimore for the day, there's plenty of restaurants and hangouts in the Canton/Fells Point/Inner Harbor area we could meet at. We might even be able to convince some of the team at Polk to join us.

Ya hear that Micah and Justin! Come out of your caves and join us!
    No excuses!

Hey, man: You name the place and time, and I will be there. With bells on. (Well, maybe not bells.)

The title says it all. Who else could make it to Baltimore sometime this summer?

The only one in this thread that is actually banned is wangotango. The others are a result of this disaster known as Vanilla.

Yes, I bought a preamp from him in Fall 2012. Even at that point he wasn't hanging around here as much as he once did...

Wangotango. Lildog. There were a few other names the snake posted under but I don't recall them. It was fun playing Wack-A-Mole on the internet with him as the mole.

I have personally had the pleasure of personally banning him on two other forums. What a piece of trash.

Anybody heard from Troy lately? Last I saw him was Polkfest at his pad a couple of years ago. Hope all is well with him. He's good folk.
