on my list of upgrades this year is a front projection. i'm certainly in no rush, but i like to do my homework early. I love my Mitsubishi CRT rear projection too much to give it up, so i'm thinking a set up where i can do tv and HDTV watching and listening as i do now, but for movies and stuff, i want to switch to the fromt projecture for the full theater feel.
i'm thinking a drop down screen will be needed (to hide the screen when i'm watching tv and stuff). and a front projecter itself. i'm thinking sub 2000 bucks if possible, i'm less critical of picture quality than i am of sound quality. what are some good options for me to research in that range (if possible). i know not a friggin thing when it comes to front projecters, so any info will be fantastic.

The drop down screen works great for a number of setups where they want the convenience of RPTV for casual viewing.
I would look into the Infocus 4805, Benq 6100-6200, Optoma H30-31 just to name a few. You can get a solid performer for under $1500.
Do alot of research or trials before you buy!
