Why isn't my avr 3802 playing full range in the center nor surround?

Ok so I bought a 3802 last night hoping that I can get 5 channel stereo = 110 watts x7 equally. Wrong, currently I only have the CSi5 hooked up testing the connections and this is what I notice in 5 channel stereo mode with everything set equally for all my surrounds, center and fronts

the CSi5 sounds awesome when hooked up to either front channels the bass response is so good that I can feel it in my chest... however when I remove it and hook it up to center channel I lose all the bass (keep in mind that all speakers are already set to large) and sound only half as loud

Same thing with the surrounds.... as of now I'm pretty disappointed and this is the only time that I hope when of you guys proof that I'm a dumb **** and I'm setting it up all wrong or I must have a load on all the channels to get the full effect. I would rather someone tell me that I got a defective unit than telling me that this is the way they all are so I gotta live with it. I swear I've heard it different

did you set all speakers = large? in the setup?

I had feeling some one is gonna say this that's why I reminded the reader that they are all set to large already. Try again now. lolz
