Component or not?
I have an Acura Legend with stock 8 speakers.
The fronts have tweeters located right next to the 6.75" speaker, they are located on the lower door panel.
This is how it looks - the "o" is the tweeter:
o(6.75)
My stock rears are 6 X 9s and they have tweeters between them, all located on the rear deck.
This is how it looks - the "o" is the tweeter:
(6x9)----o----o----(6x9)
Mkay, my question is, should I get component speakers and put the tweets in stock location, or should I just get regular speakers with built in tweeters? If I get component, the only place I will put tweeters are in stock location.
Which type would sound better, or would they sound the same since the tweets are close to the speakers?
- I'm not going to have subs
- I probably will buy an amp
Please let me know... I don't want to waste my money on components if they are going to sound the same since I won't relocate the tweeters.
BTW, I'm looking towards DB690 and DB675. I was thinking about MMC690 but I read the reviews and most reviewers complained about the lack of bass. While the DB690 had better reviews.
Thanks!
