Martin Campell of "GoldenEye" returns to direct. Still, no actor for the role of James Bond. though. I am hoping Pierce Brosnan will return since I think he was maturing nicely into the role.

That would be cool to have Quentin as part of the production. :D Still none of the listed actors seem to me to be proper "Bond". Time will tell I guess.

Although a bit too young I think Jude Law would make for a decent bond. But yes, I'd like to see Brosnan return as well.

Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

I agree too young, but seems like he could be a perfect fit for the role. Hell, buck the trend, lets see a young Bond.

I thought it was already settled that Clive Owen would be the next Bond. Dubious choice, in my opinion. He strikes me as an English Nicholas Cage, except maybe not as annoying. Hugh Jackman would be interesting, but he's either too serious or too goofy. The fact is, you'll always be looking for another Connery, and it's not going to happen.

Personally, I don't think they should make any more 007 movies, or at least make one last one with Brosnon in which all the old Bonds (Connery, Moore, Dalton) team up to destroy MI-6. The premise is that there have been many James Bonds over the years, all subjects of a brainwashing program within the secret service. When one Bond gets killed or gets too old, they replace him and re-brainwash the old ones. Each Bond is implanted with the same memories of upbringing/identity et al, the reasoning being that by controlling someone's memories and sense of self, you can shape a personality that's best suited to certain tasks. Somehow the old ones have recovered the knowledge of their past and seek revenge. Although MI-6 wants nothing more than to keep this revelation from the current Bond (they send out a special double-O eliminator/assasin...another thing none of the Bonds knew about), the old Bonds seek out the new one and spill the beans. So the current Bond goes on a rogue mission, trying to extract the truth about his own identity before the assasin erases all the loose ends...with the current Bond as the likely final target.

There'd be some great opportunities for humor, with constant bickering between Connery and Moore.

Sean: I don't find you funny, I never did and I never will.
Roger: Perhaps you would if you were really British.

Dalton would just be the angry Bond throughout the entire picture, and George Lazenby would show up for a few moments here and there, aching to get into the action, but only being relegated to washing the cars.

    Trailer:

Brosnan is seated in a dark room, with only an 'interrogation lamp' overhead. "I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage...Mr.....?" Connery steps out of the shadows: "Bond...." Moore steps out of the shadows: "....James Bond" Dalton steps out of the shadows "007 licensed to kill". Brosnon frowns in confusion as Connery turns to Dalton: "Would you lighten up already?" Moore restrains himself from giggling. Connery to Moore: "And you shut up!"

All the old Bonds eventually get killed and Brosnan is spared (he kills the assasin but nearly dies himself), only to be brainwashed again while recovering at MI-6. The film ends with Moneypenny throwing a computer disc labeled "007 program: For archives only" into the sea...which is picked up by a Lotus Esprit car/submarine piloted by Lazenby. Fade out as the sub disappears into the abyss, with Lazenby's laugh echoing off into the distance.

You heard it here first, folks. It could be cool, but instead we're getting Casino Royale. Oh well. Sorry for rambling.

That actually looked good! The new Bond has a tough guy edge to him not seen since Connery. This dude looks like he'll kick your ****!

I love how the British were protesting when they decided to use him. Dumbasses! :D

I agree. It seems they are not "advertising" any gadgets or funny one-liners from this one either.

I saw this trailer recently and I have to admit, I like this dude.

He's not a pretty boy type like Moore or Brosnan. He looks like the "real man" type like Connery.

I may have to check this one out.

Yes. He looks like a real guy. At first I was a little underwhelmed by the choice but he looks promising in the trailer.
