6.1 with R15's?

I'm sure a lot of you know that the R15's are on sale at Outpost for $50 a pair (at least they were the last time I checked). Right now I'm using the Polk RM6005 surround sound system with 5.1. I'm considering getting 3 pairs of R15's to make a complete 6.1 surround setup. I do have a subwoofer that works good enough for me.

Will going from RM6005's to R15's be a fairly decent upgrade? The 6005's are doing pretty good, although the mids are a little thin because of the small 3" drivers. Has anyone had any experience with comparing the two speaker sets? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

    Just a heads up ....

The deal on the R15's @ Fry's seems to be dead at the moment , but now the cherry R30's are onsale at Fry's for $49.99 each .

May want to consider the R30's as fronts , and go from there . ;)

    Yeah, I just noticed that...:(

I was planning on buying them last night when they were still on for $49.98/pair, but I didn't have my credit card with me at the time I was trying to order them. I left a message with a supervisor for the stereo equpment department, so hopefully he'll get back to me soon.

The R30's look nice, but I just don't have room for them in my home theater area. They really need to be bookshelf speakers. Thanks for the heads up, though!

I think the deal was dead like three days ago.

Nope, I called yesterday and was about to order them for $50 a pair, but as I mentioned I didn't have my credit card on me. We'll see if I get a response from that supervisor.
