DVE test tone doesn't really go to 20KHz

So, I'm curious as to how well the RTiX tweeter does with frequency sweeps. I break out the DVE user guide and wind my way through the treacherous menu system to get to the audio test signals. Title 10 chapter 8 has a 6-channel 15Hz to 20KHz test tone.
I run the tone and there appears to be no response after about 17KHz (not to mention an odd dip before that)!! Then I drive myself crazy thinking "Is it the tweeter, receiver, DVD player, etc?" I recalibrate the sound card, and I can still repeat this over and over...
Then, with everything in the same positions, I plug the laptop straight into the stereo and run three quick sweeps from TrueRTA. The lower half of the sweep follows the same pattern of DVE, but the upper portion reveals that yes, my stereo and tweeters are good through 20KHz. Whew!
My conclusion is that the DVE test tone is incorrect. Anybody else mess with this, or am I the only complete dork?:)
*Measurements are all in room.

Yeah, I think Doc found something wrong with the LFE running too hot, or something like that. I guess Joe Kane is more of a "video guy".
