Today I realized I should have gotten a degree in some sort of enginering- maybie to work for a speaker company or something. Coming back to these forums and reading about this stuff just rocks, I had forgotten how much I enjoy it!

Was deff. the wrong path to go to law school. yak!

Yep, had one of those moments exactly. I was standing underneath a car changing tranny fluid or something (ATF frickin stinks) when a big clump of salty dirty icey slush hits me in the back of the head and falls down my back for the thousandth time. I'm starting engineering in the fall.

I'm doing post-secondary at College during my Senior year to prep for engineering, never had a 'eureka' moment, but I have torn myself over Music Education or Engineering.

I have one of those "moments" everyday as I slave over some wacky spreadsheet on a computer instead of designing websites or be in e-commerce.

And I am not even an accounting major.

Been having that moment for the last two years or so. I'm about to finish my six year degree and I am contemplating going back for five more years.

Good to know thanks guys.... I haven't yet hit that stage in my life where I have regreted what I have done with my education and I hope I will never go through it. Only problem that I am having is that I have no idea what I want to get into for a career.

Dont worry about it. But what people say "do what you love" really is true. You have to put out of your mind concerns about money and family expectations. They just bite you on the rear end later on.

Ever since I got into the computer field, more and more opportunities have opened up.

I passed some Microsoft Certs over the last couple of years and currently work for an Environmental Engineering company in their IT department.

I've branched out doing photography with Photoshop editing. I'm going to be digging into website design in the coming months using Dreamweaver and Flash. I'm talking with a friend on starting a small E-tail business on Ebay. I'm even looking into starting my own multimedia business.

I still DJ part-time and have an offer to do wedding parties.

School just started for me on Monday with 2 classes a semester. Although I have about 5 years part-time to go for my BS degree, it'll pay off BIGTIME!

The one thing I lack the most is TIME!

Branch out into a few areas. You'll find yourself with many skills that will allow the $$$ to roll in. This has been my best year ever in terms of $$$$.

With the amount of hours being spend at a job, you should really be do something you truly enjoyed. Money, in some ways, become secondary. I am currently at my highest-paid job ever but this is the least satisfying job I've ever had. I am planning my exit strategy already.

John, Dreamweaver is way cool (and easy). Took a three week course in December and looking forward to learning, and doing, more with it. E-commerce is where the future is heading.

Well, I'm almost finished my EE-Control System Technician and I don't think it's something I want to get into. Might try out something else when I'm done. It was a great experience though. Learned a lot about electronics, transistors, amps, etc. So overall it was worth it.
