    Windows Media Player 9 does it, but as far as I know, no standalone units are out yet.

    And yet again **** directs the way technology goes. Look at VHS, DVD....

    The bummer, looks like we'll see HD-DVD before Blu-Ray.
    If...
    Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
    Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

    I doubt Blu-Ray will make it...

    I think once HD DVD catches on, there won't be too much of a market for Blu-Ray...at least I hope...I don't want to have different players for different formats from different movie companies...

    I thought the players wouldnt be out till last of this year! Hey polkthug hows the pq compare to regular dvd? What are we going to do with the choice between blue ray or hd dvd? Get both,wait? This same thing happen between Sony & Toshiba when dvd was trying to be introduced.
    My HT set-up Panasonic front proj, 120 in ws screen, ATI amp,Integra 9.8 pre-pro, 2 Polk rti150, cp 1000, 4 fx 1000, Pioneer blu-ray 2 SVS sub pb 12-ultra 2, & Paragon popcorn popper. ps 3 Coaster leather HT recliners.

    System contains one 32bit Risc CPU, one 24bit video processing CPU and one 24 bit RISC audio processing CPU. Total power equal to 1Ghz Pentium CPU.
    I clipped this from Thug's link. What is this 24 bit RISC audio processing thing? Will the SQ on HD DVD be as good as or possibly better than SACD/DVD-A???

    Blu-Ray will whoop HD-DVD's ****. More storage for one, and PlayStation 3 will be a BD player.

    Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener.

    BD? Reminds me much of "VD", gonna need to call it BR. Can you imagine the problems that will arise when parents hear their kids "I know I gave you that BD......Yes.....Well I could do it again...OK the BD is burning now....OK I'll give it to you tomorrow morning...."
