Yep, finally finished this thing, bout to fire it up...

BIG THANKS GOES OUT TO RUSS! HE PROVIDED PARTS, TIME AND TONS EFFORT INTO THIS! And while I'm at it, I gotta thank him again for the constant support with other projects, with plans, parts, and times...

Just oustanding...

The sub turned out pretty good, the caps are kinda rough since they have been around my feet with the past month or two... only will get worst with time I'm afraid..

I gave it a try, and this is one POWERFUL subwoofer. Looks to be strong down to about 26-27hz according to my test tones with no meter ;) -

However - DEFINETELY a nice punchy sub... another successful project, IMO...

And Russ, the Marantz integrated is GREAT! Sounds real good!

Looks GREAT man. Four, Dual Voice Coil 6.5" woofs, and a 10" passive radiator - you should have ended up about 96db efficient - how does that 70w plate amp drive it?

    Cheers,
    Russ

I went for the 125 watter, and seems to drive it with no problems, but - they definetely could use some more power in a larger room...

Looks good Sid. If I were you I would get some wood filler and textured paint for a durable finish on the endcaps.

I may, the problem with the end caps is - they are two pieces of wood, and this came back to haunt me when I installed the top one as the paint split...

sucks, will look into it though, in time...

Great job, Sid. I think you should start building some subs and sell them for profit to friends. I'm very impressed with how you're coming along with your speaker building projects. Keep up the good work!

Get that monitor off the 1040 man, it's not meant to support weight like that.

Get your **** in the garage, and build a shelf to around the 1040, for the monitor to sit on.

I'd swap your L/R speakers, get the drivers on the outside, just to give as much stereo separation as possible, in the nearfield.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Now remember, a stop sign has 8 sides, red, and says "stop."

I like your setup, looks comfy,
