I run a Denon AVR 3801 with a 303 sub.
I am considering adding another sub to the mix. I dont know that my receiver supports two subs though. It has one sub out only. I am thinking I could run a "y" adapter but that doesnt really sound like a great idea. I have browsed my owners manual but it doesnt really offer any info on this procedure. Anyone have any suggestions?

A good Y-adapter would be fine to use.

Thanks. Looking at your stuff, I noticed you bi-wired your LSi7's. I have some RTi4's on the way. I am considering bi-wiring but am not entirely sure. Can I rig a biwire by splicing? I also am not quite sure where to place them. My current surrounds are FXi 5's. Because of the size and shape of the room, i have them behind and to the sides of the couch. Assuming I can shift everything to fit, should I run the 5's as surrounds and the RTi's as rear surrounds?

It looks like you have some nice gear there in your HT. I'll help as much as I can, and hopefully others will do the same.
Moving your FXi5's forward, and placing your RTi4's in the rear will probably yield the best "surround" sound.

A couple more questions to help us out here(for future reference):

How big is your room size?
    What shape is your room?
What front speakers are you using(L/R/C)?

I'm using 4 stranded 16 gauge on my LSi's. I've only had them on for about a week, but I'm happy with them.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by splicing the wire to bi-wire them. My interpretation would be that you are going to take a 2 stranded wire and run it from your receiver to your speakers. When you get to your speakes, you would then cut about three inches of insulation off the wire to run some strands to the top ans some to the bottom post. With 12 or 14 gauge, that would probably work. However, since they are rear speakers, you are probably not going to want to run 12 gauge wire for 50+ feet. Also, cutting off that much insulation exposes more wire to the air, resulting in quicker oxidation of your wire.

Your other option, other than the one I'm using, would be to run a piece of speaker wire from the top post to the bottom post on each one to connect them.

    Hope this helps some.

Yeah. Splice probably wasn't the best word. I meant to do exactly what you have done. Two equal length wires, twisted together to plug into the receiver and then entering the different binding posts on the speakers. I am pretty sure this is what the bi-wires actually are, but I am not 100% sure.

    As for the other details.
    R50 fronts
    csi 3 center.
the room is not particularly large, 20 x 12 or so.
    rectangular shape, obviously.
I think moving the fix5's may be a good idea but that means more drilling and mounting. Damnit...
I have them at about 6' high on the wall. This was in response to some advice I read here or somewhere. It puts the tweeters up high, but this prevents them from blasting you and dominating the sound, I guess.

By the way, I am still experimenting with placement. the apartment is small, but temporary. I have everything placed in one half of the room. below is a limited illustration of the room.

I was thinking of a 90 degree shift clockwise or a 135 degree shift to put the tv in the corner where the right surround is.
I really dont have much time left on the lease but i may renew and want to maximize the home theater for the meantime.
