Hey guys,
Well as usual I can't stick to any receiver for long so its time to move on my Denon AVR-785. I got this a few months back on ebay from a liquidator so I'm not sure about the warranty, but it is mint. Works perfectly and still looks perfect, will ship in original box. Includes remote and manual.
This is a really nice 7.1 receiver, also know n as the AVR-1905. DD EX, DTS ES, PLIIx...all of the latest surround doo-dads.
Rated at 80w (8 ohms) x 7.
Also has B speaker outs, and all channel preouts. Multiroom out (either rca outs or you can assign the 6th and 7th channels as powered multi room out...which is cool as crap...you can run 5.1 plus B and C speakers...and it will run all at the same time. Why the heck do I want to sell this thing...it does everything!
Well, what it doesn't do is sound as good for 2 ch as my (new to me) old NAD 716 Pro Logic receiver that I just picked up. And I almost never watch movies in the main room anymore. Probably won't until the kid get to be a few years older.
So take this thing off my hands. I am going to offer it up here for less than they are going for on ebay (about $350 plus shipping) but I'm not gonna give it away either.
$300 shipped 48 US. Oh and it is the silver (sort of a champagne silver if you ask me) model. I'll try to get some pics up by tonight.

I've had it pointed out to me that my price might be a bit high, so have dropped to $300 shipped in the 48 US. Might also consider trades if anybody has anything cool. I've got a thing for NAD gear right now...
Thanks.system 1:

If someone would buy my FXi30's, then I'd have a little money to work with.Tschüss

would this be a good replacement for my HK AVR-500?Sammy UN55C6400

Well, it would certainly give you more updated processing options (DD EX, DTS ES, PLII). Plus it give you a B speaker out (I don't the HK has that) and the ability for powered zone II (or you can use the powered zone II for 6.1 and 7.1 channels. I had a HK AVR525 prior to this and think it had a little more power than this unit...this has much more flexibility though.system 1:

It would be fine for the RT100's you have and if you end up getting the RTi6's, then you will have enough power there too. I'm listening to classical guitar on a Denon 1905(same as the 785) right now and I'm liking what I here with a set of Polk's old RT7's.
I don't think you will be disappointed.Tschüss

You again? LOLZ jp
This thing is supposed to do 110w @ 6ohms, can I achieve that with the RTi100? lolz
I just realised that the CSi5 sounds a little too sharp for the RTi100, so now I'm in a new dilema. For sure I want my replacement Rec. to be a Denon for the 5/6/7 channel stereo. But I'm trying to find reasons to go with some RTi6 or if I do towers again it'll be either RTi10 or RTi12 this for sure this won't be able to power those since the HK is barely hanging with the CSi5Sammy UN55C6400

There are not many receivers that will be able to do justice to the RTi10 or RTi12. The good thing about this Denon is that it has pre-amp outputs so if you go with towers again, then you can get a separate amp for them.
Next time I see you post, I'll go into the other room or something.Tschüss
