carver amp ?

I have a chance to buy a carver av-705x amp for $650 shipped. i was just wondering what people thought about the amp itself and the price. tried bargining with the guy but all i could get him to do was include shipping. the specs are 125x5 into 8 ohms at 0.03% and 200 into 4 ohm i believe. it also has thx for what its worth.

    i was thinking the 650 seems a bit steep. esspecially since i also have a chance at getting a b&k av5000 for 450 shipped. its a little bit lighter on the wpc, but its a small change. so i might just go with the b&k unless there is good reason not to.

    I would pass.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
