Bose and Marketing

Today some older man decided to tell me how I wasted my money on my setup and that his Bose 15 system would run it down in a head to head comparison. I of course agreed and sent him on his merry way, because I could care less what the misinformed Bose followers think. But still the questions remains, how does Bose get people to buy their crap? Marketing, Marketing, Marketing.

Yeah we know...
Their on QVC, MSNBC, Whatever, everywhere you go, theres Bose. Tweeter, CC, Sam's Club, BB, the Bose store, TV, magazines, their like a freakin splinter that you cant find or reach... dosnt ever go away and is painful to hear/hear about...
Bose is always going to be here, and its ALWAYS going to fill the gap of average joes to lazy to type in 'Bose' on google, because theres probally ALOT more hate sites than rave sites.
When forums that have secondary forums for Bose, and under it say - PLEASE NO BOSE BASHING, it should RING A BELL. But people are stupid, and their stupidity in audio is no different than our stupidity in something else we know absolutely NOTHING about. However, we probally can learn from the Bose owners and do a lil research before purchasing.
Either way, Bose is over-priced POS product, simple - however, the trick is to stop blabbing to forums about it, and hit them where it hurts, their pockets. Let the average customer know whats up.
However, stores wants u to sell the best selling product that costs the most, and Bose will sue you if u give them bad reviews, done it before, do it again...
Bose Blows, We Know It Yo!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I would have lost control and rolled around on the ground laughing until he left.

Yeah, there is no reason to argue with the person. Just a pissing contest, I was slightly annoyed when he told me to sell all this crap and just get a bose system. That annoyed me, cause I wouldn't bash his wonderful Bose System.

I heard about the Consumer Report deal. But, and correct me if I am wrong here, don't we still have freedom of speech anymore? After all, if my opinion is that Bose speakers suck, that's my opinion. -

Meaning in his toilet or in his bucket of asphalt driveway sealer? -
Remember the golden rule: 90% of people are either stupid or ignorant.
The radio waves are chock full of spots with compensated celebrity endorsements of the Bose Wave Radio. Joe Sixpack figures that if so-and-so likes it, it *must* be good, especially since he never hears about any of these other brands. No one's ever heard of those dinky brands like Polk, B&W, Paradigm, etc. They're *obviously* not as good as Bose, or we'd see commercials for them, right?
My bigger concern are the plethora of radio commercials stating AS FACT that your home theater system will not work properly without Monster Cables. They're very carefully worded, but the implication is clearly that.

When Bose hits mid-fi or low-fi, we all know that will never happen. I will give my 10th born to them for research...it will contribute to their better sound through research theory..
it seems the only research they do is : how can we make these smaller sound crappier and charge more
Did I say all that out loud, must be time to take my meds..
