Calibrating question......again
Alright, Im a little confused here on the proper way to calibrate. I have a HK230 & the manual says to -15 on the dial when calibrating with the ezset, so I am asuming you set it to -15 also when setting it manually. Now when I do this my channel levels are up to around +7 & +8 when using the DVE disk. Ive read that you dont want to boost it that much & to try to keep it closer to 0. So what should I do, do it like the manual says & keep the levels that high, or start at 0 for the FL speaker & turn the volume up till it reads 75db & then calibrate the rest from there?

Yes. Start with all speakers at 0. Turn up the volume till the FL reads 75 db with the decibel meter. Calibrate the rest of your speakers from there and make a note of where the volume setting is because it is just relative. At least this is what I would do.
