Howdy y'all. Any experience out there with Outlaw? I'm looking at their 7 x 200 amp they've got. Pro's? Con's? Are they worth becoming In-laws?:eek:

    Outlaw makes great equipment. I have never heard anyone that i know that has their amps or processors complain. also you can checkavs forum or htf .

    I had a set of their monoblocks for a while. Great stuff for HT.

    There are quite a few of us here that own Outlaw gear. I've got a 7100 (165wpc x 7 @ 4 ohms with all channels driven) and it sounds a helluvalot better than the price tag would lead you to believe.

    I have been using 3 M200's to power my RTi70 mains and CSi40 center channel. I bought the first on as B-stock, and the next two off of Audiogon for a very decent price. I'm really impressed with them for HT, good sound and lots of dynamic range. Only downside is you need lots of outlets to plug them in! I don't think you can go too wrong with these units, especially for the price.

    They have a great reputation in here and elsewhere.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I own the Outlaw 200 x 7 myself - I love it! Brings the action in closer for HT and I can crank the music for hours without hesitation. Mine doesn't run 'Hot' either......just a bit warmish....
    Definitely a lot of bang for the buck:D

    Like I said before on another thread (a real negative one at that) - YOU guys are what keeps HT growing and fun. Some guys are "know-it-alls"- I'm proud to admit that I have learned what I know by asking and reading. Thanks to all the POLKERS who take the time to read and answer questions.

    I have the 7X200 Outlaw since ~2002 and could never had asked for a better sounding and performang amp. From HT through multi channel music I have never needed any more power and have directly compared it with some higher end amps and found no negative or positives. What I'm trying to say is that the amp is very tranparent and you can't ask much more from a piece of audio equipment.

    They should be a fine match with Polk speakers, but not as good with brighter speakers like Klipsch.
