I have seen about 4 amps for the rt3000ps pass through ebay in the last few months. they closed at about $100.00. keep your eyes on the bay. if i see another i will post it in the flea market. good luck.

    Bob,
Thank you for your reply/advice. You have a really nice system. Will these speakers benefit from the SVS's extra sub output? I thought the one sub that works, puts out a lot of bass already.

I will try to be patient and wait a month or three. :)

If I was to go through Polk parts and service, do Polk Club members receive a discount? I have seen the discounts on other Polk speaker amps. Would this amp be included in the discount program?

I saw where another $700 amp was discounted to $560.

Is the amp I need considered a non-discount item?

    Thanks
    Tony

    Tony,
Hi as far as the amp goes my suggestion would be to call or email Ken Swauger in customer service and tell him that you are a club polk member. He can let you know if there is a discount avaliable for this amp. Ken is very helpful as is the whole customer service at polk audio. as far as the Svs goes It was very powerful infact too powerful for my little house.I sold it and am using a small polk sub for the moment. The Svs was also too big for my room size and placement. In my opinion you will definately want a sub however to what extrem is up to your tastes. The rt3000s hit very hard on their own for theater but you will still want that sub channel being used. Try posting a want to buy in the flea market someone might have one. There is a guy on audiogon.com with an ad wtb polk rt3000ps . click on it and look a guy replied he has one rt3000p sub only in roosewood offering it for $400.00 that will give you extra drivers. Good luck.

    Bob,
Ken was very very helpful.$$$ I watched ebay and thought I
wouldn't ever see another one come across the block.
Ken was great . I bought a new amp. plate assem. Mon.
Looking on ebay wed. night I see two . I'm a little leery of the ones on ebay but their prices seem ok if the amp. needed to be repaired. One comes with its unit .$$$ shipping? I can't wait to hear two of them togeter : ) reviews are promising : )
