I just got my center speaker it looks great, the finish is awsome. I hooked it up and only one of the drivers is playing. Is the other side supposed to sound identical or is used for lower frequencies?

I think I have a bad center, but we'll see.

Thanks,
Kevin

Keep in mind that the LSiC along with the CSi5 are 2.5 ways, they use a cascading crossover, meaning yes, one of them should be playing lower frequencies than the other, however, it is not crossed over so low that it shouldn't be normally playing, maybe there is a loose connection, bad drivers, or some other malady, but nothing that can't be fixed with the help of our wonder Polk Customer Service.

Well I just got finished pulling one of the drivers out and the cross-X. Looks to me like a solid quality speaker as there is ten gauge throughout the cabinet and the crossover is high quality as well. I turned it up for a bit and it is infact playing fine, just at a lower freq point. When I first listened it was a very low volume and I truely couldn't hear if it was playing at that point. With the speaker out of the cabinet I turned it up a bit and everything was fine. But thanks for the info and I can now sleep a little better tonight without having to worry about shipping the speaker back. It does sound raeally good with the one movie I watched thus far, just thought it was kind of odd that only one speaker had the voice coming out of it.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

Nice to know that the internals of the LSi ooze just as much quality as it does on the outside. 10ga speaker wiring inside and good crossovers.... nice! :D

It was nice to see, though it may not have been 10 gauge, if not that then 12 guage. The same stuff that I run to my mains for now, Monster XP. I was surprised to see it in there as I checked a pair of Madrigal/Citation speakers that Iown and had 14/16 gauge/cheaer wire feeding Morel drivers.

Build quality seems as good as the Citations as well, maybe a hair better but not much. Just a great finish inside and out on the LSi and is worth every cnet as far as I'm concerned. (Just took a Citation apart)

I haven't had it long enough, and am waiting to recieve the 7's, but will do some A/B comparisons to my current LCR Citation setup.

    Cheers,
    Kevin

They use 16 awg (to my knowledge), not 10 awg - that would be going over-board.
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
