To bi or not to bi
Question- I own a pair of RTi-12's that I am currently driving with a Sony STRDA-5000es. I know these puppies require a lot of juice to sing but until I can get a dedicated amp should I run them straight or bi them? I am using Monster Z1 cable.

Thanks , what about the center channel and are there any sonic differences between bi-wire or straight because I recently ran my Mission towers bi-wired (and straight) and I honestly could not tell the diffrence ( could also be the last 20+ years of loud music)-
guess I'm also an old ****!!Sony STRDA-5000ES

Run it straight.
As you indicated, bi-wiring them probably won't make much difference.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Great town, I lived there for 4 years, found alot of snow in the canyons, but no palm trees.
The Bi-wire phenomenon has been heatedly debated here for years and most will just stay clear of the issue.
I will just say this and then you decide.
Can you afford biwire cables? Or build some?
If you can do so without jeopardizing your or your family's financial well being,
get them.
You may, or may not hear the difference, but it certainly is, at least as good as a non-biwired connection.

Ain't nutin' Tropical over here for sure. I used to live in Hawaii and I sure do miss the tropics- and my names Al so.... I could've used Dumbass but I believe there's too many of us around and we'd all be confused.:D Anyway thanks for the input- I just read so much crap about bi-wiring, bi-amping, bi-sexuals... I get soooo confused over all these (insert expletive) issues

And where a quantity of two or more adult beverages can not be within reach of each other ... ESPECIALLY in the same container. -
No lies there! You order beer at the bar ( yeah they have a few of those here) and you get water. The woman don't let you in their draws unless you show 'em a ring. Swearing is something they do in LA. Holy crap- I left NY for Hawaii, Hawaii for Utah...what the hell ( oops- HECK ) was I thinking!:eek:Sony STRDA-5000ES

However ...
If you like scenery ... places like Dead Horse Point State Park and the better known national parks, Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, Arches, Canyon Lands, Capitol Reef etc. are hard to beat. -
You can't get a glass of rum in those places either.
