What parts do I need to add to my Acura TL-S 270hp @ 6900rpm.
He got a BAD S-10 chevy Truck. I love to see a 327 chevy under the hood with a Turbo400 trans.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Yellow stickers seem to work well. Also, check with Boeing see if they've got a used 737 tail section so you can be fast & Furious!
Made me laugh out loud, spit my vegetable soup back into the bowl.
Cheers,

What do you get if you win the race? Just as aside, I rode in a friends Mercedes AMG the other day. 470 effin HP!! A gd rocket.
-
disneyjoe7, why would you worry about beating an S-10 with an Acura TL-S? Or does he really have a 327 under the hood?Win7 Media Center -> Onkyo TXSR702 -> Polk Rti70

I was going to vote for a muffler with a huge "Coffee Can " exhaust tip...but it wasn't on the list. How can you have a ricer without one of those? Besides....I hear they add at least 200 hp...."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

Loud muffler what a joke, I raced passed some other Loud **** Honda's one day with my 92 Accord with 185K on it's stock. Beat their **** bad, so a loud muffler does nothing for me.

Not sure he's not talking, he said no peaking under hoodie before any RACE The only thing that would impress me would be a 327 with Fuelie heads.

Then you might be dissappointed to see a turbocharged 4.3L V6 bolted up to an AWD chassis.
I know I wouldn't be dissappointed to see that under Russ's hood. If I did see that, not saying that he doesn't have that either, just saying, if he did have that, you'd be hard pressed to find ANY TL that could keep up with it. Hell, any ACURA for that matter.
Hell, I'd have a hard time keeping up with that too! With a proper driver you are looking at pickup truck that will run a 1/4 mile in the high 12's, pulls just under .9G's on a skidpad and can stop from 60 mph in under 135 feet. I guess calling an "S-10" a Syclone is warranted when it's setup like that!
Don't be so arrogant folks. You never know what is pulling up next to you at a stop light. You just might lose to that beat up old pickup with a Pudknocker driving in the next lane over.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Russ,

As for what I was gonna vote for, you don't have my vote. I say sell the Acura and get a Corvette Z06. Why kid around?Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Since an Acura TL-S is in the 14's stock, I heard that some TL-S with a Turbo are in the low 12's. I think with a little work I will have no problem getting it into the 12's.
BTW love my **** cars, but I have built engines also. Love old Pontiacs 60's nothing over 69 or 70 tops.

Sorry, still not impressed. It's still an Acura and Syclones were capable of high 12's off the showroom floor. Not to say that Russ has one of those. He may though, I'm not sayin' either way. In fact, I know a guy locally with a Syclone in the high 9's and he drives it to work...on nice and sunny days of course.
As far as building engines, well...that's nice and all but I have too. So what? You like old Pontiacs, yay for you! I like old Fords. Well, old British sports cars and old Italian ones too. If only I had the money. If only I still had my Mustang. Oh well, no use talking about what was in the past. I'll have another hot rod Mustang again to terrorize the drag strip with. For now, I have a vehicle that is big, bad and scares women and children, big, burly bikers and even yuppie luxury car drivers! Just the way I like it! I'll tell ya though, nothing beats blasting around a corner only to be met with 30 bikers on your side of teh road and all they see is a wall of black vehicle barreling at them at 50-60 MPH! They scattered like nobody's business! That'll teach them to stay on thier own side of the road!
Did have a tangle with a biker gang at a truck stop while carvaning with like-vehicle owners out to West Virginia. They got mouthy and pushy but ended up driving off when a Maryland State Trooper pulled into the lot. 5 or so miles up the road, 16 of these said vehicles blew past these bikers at around 85-100 MPH in varying degrees. They proceeded to give chanse but could not match the 140+ MPH speeds the said vehicles were capable of.
So yeah, ya never know what's under the hood of the guy you are pissing with. You all may think Russ and his S-10 are joke but you have no idea. You are going at face value. Then again, everyone talking smack lives in places where it is easy to keep cars pretty. Up here in the rust belt, looks mean nothing and rust is merely "weight reduction". I've seen many a Corvette left in the dust by a clapped out old Nova or Grand Prix. So don't let your mouth go writin' checks your butt can't cash. One thing I learned and learned quick in the 12 years I have been racing, there is ALWAYS somebody faster and it's NEVER the guy that you think it is or isn't for that matter.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

I've got a highly modified Briggs and Stratton, and a chain drive off a Schwinn. EIGHT horsepower at the rear wheels.

I am sorry to tell you your Acura TL-S just won't do it in such a race. And I am a fellow Acura owner myself (Acura Integra).
What you need is this machine....
Forget about the supercharger or headers. You need to get yourself one of these awesome machines....
Don't take anyone's advice, OK? Just trust me on this. -
That is TOO funny!
If I had $20k to piss away, I'd definitely get one......:rolleyes:HT & Music System:
