well i figured it out but, now the lights dim when the bass hits. the amp is only 150 watts. the subs are 2 12" single coil 4 ohm. with the bridge it is a 2 ohm load.

i highly doubt your amp is 2 ohm stable in bridged mode. only a hand few are. i think your best bet is to hook one up to each channel. it might not be as loud but you wont blow your amp.

i actually just read the manual and it says not to go below 2 ohm bridged mono. but theres a way to hook it up as 8 ohm bridged mono. im going to lose a lot of power huh?

More resitance generally means less power

Yes, an 8 ohm load will put out less power.

Im suprised that amp is rated at 2 ohm mono, virtually no amps are. What kind of amp is it?

Either way, 150 watt amp shouldnt be dimming your lights. If it is youve got major charging system issues.

You may also think about upgrading your amp as 150 to 2 subs is way underpowering them.

if its a rockford amp theres no way its 2 ohm stable in bridged mode. it will only be 2 ohm stable in stereo. the reason your lights are dimming is probably because your putting too big a load on the amp.
i dont know what you mean by parallel mono bridge

i'll wager that the reason your lights are dimming is cause you drive an import with an 80amp alternator.... what do you drive cause that could show some potential charging issues...
