Room size - how much of a difference?

I have moved into a new house that has a much bigger room than previously as well as higher cielings, it seems my bass just isn't giving me the same old 'feeling'. The cieling is 3 meters high and the room is 6.2 meters by 6.3 meters and I am running a pair of RT3000s in the front of the front preouts, a 1200 watt twin 10 inch enclosed sub and a PSW 650 running in the rear off the rear preouts, I would estimate that I have about 80% of the bass I used to have and have increased sub volume from -7 to +4.
Is it just the big room that stops me from feeling the sound waves with the LFE stuff, I am also running the 3000 subs in reverse phase.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Go track down those other little speakers you sold ...

Ahh yes, I can certainly see more of a difference without the SRTs now I have the room they would have been well suited to.
But hey, at least we bought a house now.....
going to experiment with my own SDA imaging with a pair of home built speakers with the 3000s in the not to distant future, have a few jobs on the to do list for but watch this space, have been doing some reading and I dont think it is that hard, in theory that is.
Time will tell.
What do you think about the bass issue above, is it the volume factoring in on the sound waves that make your pants rattle and I know you know the feeling I speak of..........
