Dropped Surround Sound -
Yep, I dumped my NAD and Adcom today in the den for my Mom to use and put the Pioneer receiver aside for party use.
My room is just way to small for surround sound and dosnt give much advantage. Especially with a Pro-Logic decoder.
Those Pioneers are ALOT better now. But man, that is one beefy receiver. Thing has a GIANT power supply for a Pioneer receiver.

Why not sell the speakers and electronics and go for some better mains since you are back to 2 channel?
If you took the money from that you might be able to afford a really nice DIY kit and have extra cash. You would learn a lot and we know you can build your own. Just something to consider.Graham -
Well I am *really* satisfied with my 2-channel setup.
I really need a new CDP, but I dont want to sell anything to get it, My old surrounds, their not worth selling - cant get enough for them....
And I also plan to do a shoot out, RT8 vs DT BP6B - The Polk should mop the floor - one shall see...
Only thing I want to sell is the NAD, and I cant get much for it...so ya know...- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
hehe, speaking of the BP6B...
I just plugged them up for 2-channel listening and played a few songs.
Same sound I remembered, just alot better - probally due to the placement. They don't sound as 'full' as the BP10B, not do they have the volume or force, seem to have *similar* detail, just not quite there, or the texture - also seems to be a bit harsher...
Overall a nice speaker, the RT8 has quite a competitor...
I plugged the BP10B back up...
The 10B has *ALOT* more seperation, and a MUCH better soundstage between the L&R speaker, the sound is much more widespread and precise. The sound is MUCH larger, deeper, the works. It is 110% better...
Can't wait to get the RT8 in here...its gonna be a great shootout.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
