I take it that the previous owner did something with the crossover? Here's the top half of the schematic. I can't post the entire schematic (too large), bottom half coming right up.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thank you ever so much..! It's the dimensions tweeter/mid he has disconnected,so that the upper right tweeter in the right speaker, and the upper left tweeter in the left speaker are silent..
But one more thing if you reply on this..do you think I did a good buy..? 325 bucks...?
I also own the RT2000i's, RT35i, and the CS400..
I just wanted the SDA 1A's because of the vintage and that they looked pretty good even if they are allmost 20 years old.
Do you know how much the SDA 1A's costed when they where brand new..?
I live in Norway so the prices you guys opperate with " over there",you can double that and then you're at " our " level...
For instance..the RT200i's costs brand new here $3570 a pair..
thank you.

G-man,
The Bluebook price for a pair of used SDA 1A's in mint condition is $475.00 US, so I'd say you did very well. The original list price in 1985-1986 was $1400.00 a pair.
Did you get the interconnect cable that runs between the speakers? What about the manual?
One thing about SDA speakers, they like a lot of high current power to make them really sing. Do not use a non-common ground amp or mono block amps with that model SDA. What power amp do you have to use with them?

I did get the cable, but no manual...The guy I bought them from has had them for 12 years now..He bought a pair of accoustic vienna, and didn't have enough space for the SDA's.
I use a Marantz SR7200 reciever now,but I'm looking for something else for the SDA's..Any amp you know of who'll do the work..?..

Ok, you can get a copy of the manual from Ken Swauger at Polk Customer Service. Email him at KSwauger@polkaudio.com.
IMO, the guy you bought them from just downgraded speakers!
What's your price range for a amp?Political Correctness'.........defined

I haven't given it that much thought actually.:) This was an impulse buy,I found them on the internet while surfing, and when I saw the price I just laughed and called him up.SOLD..!
I guess I'll be arround $1000-$1500 new or used..Electrocompaniet..? Marantz..? Thule..?

I'm not familiar with Electrocompaniet or Thule amps and I'm not so sure you'd find a Marantz amp worth anything in that price range. I'm also not sure what the used market is like in Norway, but there are plenty of good used amps available on Audiogon here. Shipping might be costly though.
A few SS amps in that price range that'll work well might be Bryston 4B-ST, Rotel RB-1080 or the RB-1090, Classe CA 200, Conrad Johnson 2500 and BAT VK-200. If you want a nice tube amp, look at the Cary V12.Political Correctness'.........defined

thank you so much. Ther's a slite problem for me to order amps from the US and that is that your amps run on 110V and here we have 240V but I will find something for them..I'm listening to them right now and they sound great..! even without the dimension module..! But I can't wait to listen to them with the system up and going as they should..! going to be fixed within 3-4 hours..thanx man...;)
