A set of the MMC6500's and two MM2104 subs.

The component set will be run off an old school ultimate sound amp that puts out a clean 125x2 rms.

The subs will probably be in a sealed box run off a soundstream van gogh 600.2 briged at 4 ohms mono to put out about 300 watts rms per sub.

Anyone have a similar set up? Should I make changes? What can I expect as for sound of this system?

That sounds just right. Its the proper power for all the components and youre using good amps. One little correction tho is that the amp will be at 2 ohms mono with those 2 subs.

Just make sure you install properly using good quality materials and wires and such and everything should sound great.

They perform very well. Xmax isnt everything.

They wouldnt be my choice if I were going to enter a SPL contest but for sheer SQ they sound as good or better than anything else in their price point.

Im going to be competing in SQ competitions this year and the MM2104 is the sub Im proudly going into the lanes with, assuming I can make it fit.

But please dont take my word for it. Look up a Tweeter and go check them out.

There are a million other specs to a sub other than Xmax. Xmax doesn't determine the quality of a sub. If you are worried about Xmax only, there are other subs out there to fill your desire. More isn't always better.

If you want solid, musical bass that is smooth and accurate without pissing off everyone around you then those Polks will work just fine.

As far as just's questions, I setup a similar system in a Jeep and it sounds great! Another memeber here, barring anymore order cancellations, is going with Soundstream Van Gogh and MOMO Carbon series products 'cause his Hifonics order got cancelled. Anyway, I have a feeling he will be very proud of his setup. Those VanGogh amps have the soul that made Soundstream a player to begin with. I wouldn't change a thing.

    Yeah, Buddy!!!

    I just ordered a VGA800.2 and a VGA500.4. Along with some MMc6500's and a MM2104DVC. In a F-150 extended cab. It SHOULD ROCK!!!
